Japanese Law Twin Quartz

This is a phenomenal and historically significant Japan Law Twin Quartz with its original matrix, sourced from the legendary Otome Mine in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Yamanashi is famed as the cradle of Japanese quartz mineralogy, and Otome Mine remains one of its most revered, long-closed classic localities.


Unlike common floater crystals, this specimen features a well-developed, tabular twin dramatically perched on a stark white vein quartz matrix. The twin wings are beautifully proportioned and meet at the diagnostic angle of 84°33'. The crystals exhibit the classic milky-to-translucent zoning and sharp luster characteristic of this historic locale, with pristine terminations. A textbook matrix specimen of a defining Japanese classic, highly prized by advanced collectors of historical and European-style mineral cabinets.
